Mods to increase torque?

What are the fav mods to increase torque?
Top end is ok but torque is not satisfactory. any help appreciated.
93wrx running with hks bov, hiper 3" and induction kit.
would reducing the system to 2.5" help or even swapping a later model's ecu gain torque?
