Ok so both 1993 legacy turbos and 2002 Legacy GT-B E tune IIs have an EJ20TT engine (right?). The MY93 makes around 200hp, and the MY02 makes about 280ps. If I'm not mistaken, these engines shouldn't have major mechanical differences (...they have the same engine name), so what can you do to get a MY93 to produce ~280ps? Of course you could get a boost controller and new exhaust, but the MY02 doesn't have that...so what I mean is, can you tune a MY93 to preform in a similar way as an MY02 as if it were a standard MY02 engine? (no boost controller, no improved exhaust, etc)

Thanks,
Kotaro

Well, even between BD/BGs of 250ps spec and 260/280ps spec there are plenty of differences - engine codes are different, turbos etc. When you talk about the BE/BH comparo the differences are greater still.

A 93 legacy will have the EJ20G engine, single turbo, and completely different cylinder heads to the later engines, and Im sure cam profiles too. Management system will be different, as will the turbocharger and intercooler system. Most noteably the GTB having 2 turbochargers. The 2 cars are completely different.

ustolemyname??stevieturbo,
I was thinking about what you said about the 93 legacy having a single turbo, do you know what make/model that turbo is?

Exclamation

1993 Was the change over year for the Legacy, we (NZ) have many of the Legacy TT's, they all seem to have 260PS. The limiting factor was the Nissan scorced auto 'box.
Cheers, Mark.
