superchips

anyone had a superchip fitted to a uk turbo 96 of similar?
Thinking of having it done....are they worth it or do they bugger the engine.
Thanks in advance for any views

You can do it yourself for about £10.
The superchips 'chip' consists of a pressure sensor electronic clamp, that prevents the ecu seeing very high boost. And a bleedvalve thing to physically adjust the boost. The boost clamp stops the ecu seeing the higher boost and adjusting it back down, at the same time, it removes the fuel cut altogether.
Better solution would be DIY fcd, and a dawes.

Cheers for that but I am not very technical and have little idea on how to do it. Where in Herts are u. I work in Stevenage and live in Biggleswade. If this mod works i'd be happy to bung you a few quid to do it for me. Also if this works why is the superchip soo expensive? What is the difference with superchip and ECU re-maps offered by others.
Cheers
