Can anyone catagorically state whether or not a MY95 STi II RA engine is a red top manifold.

I am led to believe that the original RA's were not. The car has all the other bits on it that add up. The car also recently acheived 274bhp on Powerstations rollers, with exhaust and filter, so it all seems OK.

I used to have an STI 2 RA - it did NOT have a red manifold - definately an STI RA engine though - I know this after it went pop and I needed to order parts etc.
