losing power under load

wonder if any one would no why my 97 turbo is shuting down and losing boost under load for a second when warm its a very harsh drop in power for asplit second then picks up again some one told me they do it when low on fuel but i have filled it up and it still does it but only 1/2 times a day can any one help with that little info cheers

sounds like overboost. I've gone from knowing nothing about this subject to being an expert within a month 
What mods do you have on the car?
What happens is: you get to much boost, the ECU cuts fuel, then it kicks in again.
My car has an adjustable bleed valve and I was experimenting with it, I managed to get overboost cycling in and out bwarp-buhh-bwarp-buhh-bwarp-buhh which is not good (although the guy in the 300ZX I was overtaking found it hilarious
)
