New Clutch
1999 Subaru Impreza Sti Version 6
Well I've only driven my impreza 5 times and I gave it to a shot of a family member since their car was broke and I was told to get new tyres for it as it was "wheel spinning everywhere".
Ok cool some MPS4's. Got them fitted and I went to pick the car up. I could tell the clutch was slipping straight away. So I'm pretty pissed as I'm not in the best of positions right now TBH.
So I thought about selling it but it's going to get me naff all money. So I can get an Xtreme 5 speed clutch fitted for £500. But would I need a new flywheel or just get mine skimmed? A lightweight upgrade would be another £310 for an Xtreme lightweight one.
I'm going to ask another garage for a price to fit a clutch but I'd supply an exceedy pink and a 6ish kg flywheel. I don't want a harsh or an xtreme clutch.
Can you let me know what would be a good clutch for a classic for someone who will be running no more than 330bhp I'd imagine. Without it being a pig.
Thanks

Pink box Exedy would be my choice at your power level, you would be fine with your o.e flywheel being resurfaced just make sure whoever is fitting your clutch definitely get's it done as it could cause you problems in the long run,try to remember most clutch companies base their clutch's on torque including Exedy.SJ.

Clutch ordered! Not happy as I'm broke but what can I do. I got an Exedy Pink for £275 which I thought was a decent price.
I need to find out how much skimming a flywheel will cost as otherwise I might fit a lighterweight one. I do understand this would make the car a little harder to get off the line but it will hopefully have benefits.
Awesome Kenpachi picture btw!
