slave cyl may need a bleed or replace. it needs to be unbolted to get the nipple to the highest point.

What clutch did you fit?As exedy make quite a few stages of clutch.....Really would need that information before you can make a proper diagnosis of your problem,as it could just be that the clutch that you changed from was so knackered that now you have fitted a fresh clutch that the pedal just feels stiff/or a bit lively to you.SJ.

isn't the high bite point odd? my single plate ACT which is rated at 590lbs, comes in very low and whilst being stiffer than the pink box I had, is still very manageable and definitely not snatchy.

Jonesy, what clutch did you buy and did you fit it??
I don't know of any decent clutch which bites at the last 5mm of travel
ICP are a decent trader so it won't be a copy exedy.

It seems to me that you didn't adjust it correctly when you fitted it if it's biting quite high and it's a new clutch,it's most probably that the pedal isn't allowing the master cylinder back to it's original position to properly fill up with fluid again causing the high pedal, have another look around your work.SJ.

its adjusted at the peddle on top of the clutch peddle arm,I will see if I can find a video or pictures to show you more clearly,as if the clutch peddle rod is not adjusted properly it will have an adverse effect on the movement of the clutch.SJ.

did the release bearing click into the pressure plate properly?

Subaru use a pull type clutch which requires the bearing to be fixed inside the diaphragm spring on the pressure plate once fitted, ive had to p1ss about with them in the past using pry bars to get them to click in properly. pull the rubber grommet out that's under the clutch return spring and make sure its seated correctly.
