Default ppg or not???

hi all , I got a slight dilemma , am asking for your opinion on gearbox swap, I currently have a ty54AA , but 3rd gear syncro is grinding at times, I have found a five speed with ppg 1-4 box but don't know if its helical cut or straight, I understand these boxes to be noisier than oem type. the car is mapped to a safe 340/ 330 on an alcatek ecu with the usual lc al which I rarely use. my plan is to remain at this power level. difficult choice as I do like the mechanical sound of the ppg , but as an everyday used car would the 5 speed replacement be the more sensible option? cant seem to choose..... driving around town with the sound of going backwards would probably really irritate after a few days...

It's dead on just don't put solid brace between gearbox and bulkhead.
