Depends on what you are after? Performance wise, the 3in systems offer good increases, the 2.5in systems offer a nice balance between noise and performance increases.

Whats the best one for a good sound ?
If you are looking for volume, then the Blitz/HKS systems cannot be beaten, the blitz will wake the dead and make your toes curl!! Or you could be a sheep and get a scoobysport like everyone else

How much will it cost ?
Loads! £450ish for the HKS, £500ish for the Blitz - Both amazing systems.

Get the Blitz Nur-Spec like i did.

Sounds the dogs danglies and the Nova boys in their tat will hear you coming from 3 miles away giving them warning of your presence.

At the traffic lights, when you see green then light the wheels up and all heads will turn including your mums!

Has a real throaty rally sound unlike peco big bore exhausts that neds put on their XR pieces of tat.

Forget Scorpion or any others. The Nur spec is the only one. Make sure u tack weld the bolts so you will not see the local Nova gimp driving around with your exhaust on his tarted up sardine can!

Long live Blitz!!

I'm all excited now waiting for my blitz nurspec bad boy 2 turn up from the recent group buy
So now wots with this need to tack weld it is this 2 stop tea leafs or it falling off due 2 such noise vibration making nuts fail? Is this with the bung out or do u not dare remove that due 2 bleeding ear drums? From wot i've herd @ local meets all changes 2 back boxes produce tasty sounds but the blitz is da big boy
Cheers

Cool

Only trouble is i'm gonna have to spend a fortune on some Ice to drown out the noise of the exhaust

On the other hand, expect to see a post in the ice section about sound proofing the boot

I have a 3 in catless Scoobysport d/p and uppipe and the HKS Hiper on my MY01. This is an awesome combination, performance wise, and really LOUD. The car gained 29bhp after the exhaust replacement with no other modifications, except a replacement panel filter.
Be aware that the adition of the rear silencer that comes together with the Hiper- and the Blitz,I think- significantly reduces noise levels and about 8 bhp as well. At least this was the power loss as measured in my car 2 weeks ago.

Cheers

The blitz system can be viewed on scoobyworld erm & sum page i found thru search engine & there was other places with better descriptions but the silencer is removable with ease, allegedly, so aint no stress on either ear drums or BHP depending how u feel

I just got a APEXi system....similar to HKS. Also comes with a silencer.

Good to know that the loss is only 8hp...was expecting a larger drop. Provides great compromise's, quieter for long trips, and noisy when you want it to be.....

Does anyone know if the silencer can be removed when the exhaust is hot??? And are they held in by one screw?? Two???

Scooby Si

If you live in a dodgy area word will get round you have a Blitz and any old bazzer will have a pop at nicking the exhaust in the dead of night. Some other fellow Scooby owner or Ned will follow you home etc...

'Tack weld' as in a blow torch over the bolts so no-one can unscrew them and whip your exhaust.

Happened to my Golf Gti when i bought a Scorpion in Sheffield. 2 nights later and some gimps had swiped it.

GRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!
