6 speed on early v1

Default 6 speed on early v1

bought a jdm 6 speed prop diff rear shafts hubs and rear brembos will this be all i need to convert my 93 jdm wrx to 6 speed? or will more modification be needed because i think the speed sensor and clocks in mine are going to be different aswel? any help apreciated.

Yeah I think your speedo is mechanically driven on the V1 whereas the 6 speed will be electronic. I haven't got a clue what you'd do to overcome that though. I'm sure someone will advise soon.

Unscrew the electronic sensor and screw the analogue one it,for the speedo

yea just seen a picture of the cable driven and it looks just the same has a little widget pin on the end same as the newer versions so im geussing i just screw that into the whole and jobs a good un

correct the speedo cable just screws in where the sensor used to go.. mine did on my 93 wrx ra.

Rubber gearbox mount is different on 6 speed.. its 10mm shorter in height to 5 speed.
