gearbox ratios and what to us,
Hi guys after some advice,
My car is 2001 wrx uk.
Id like to run a lower ratio box like my classic wrx not as low as a RA.
What option boxes can I use?
Without spending loads on 6spd.
now I know wants to be TY54 ??????
can a sti classic box be used with out the DCCD??

This site has a pretty comprehensive list of boxes along with ratio's etc... Hopefully you find what you need?

I have a V3 STI RA with this gearbox - TY752VB5CA and its superb! Best ratio I've come across so far.
My STI Type R has this box - TY752VBCAA also a 4.44 ratio box, but its out of an STI so has slightly longer ratio's (prefer above box).

The TY754VBAAA is a good box, as it is one of the stronger 5-speeds and has a lower over-all ratio than your WRX box, although you would need the matching 4.4:1 rear diff to go with it.
There are a few options that you could take, and you could give me a call on 01926 614333 to discuss these if you like.
Cheers,
