Does anybody know exactly what oil I need for my rear diff ? It seems a bit of a mine field as to weather it needs lad oil or 75/90 and a recommended supplier ????

Just had both rear wheel bearings done on my type r but the nsr is still generating a fair bit of heat there's no noise but the temp is noticeable on the drum and wheel
Wheel moves freely so not a seized calliper , any ideas ?????

75W90 Millers 5 litres. 4 litres in gearbox . 0.8 litres in the rear diff. If it's a smooth gearbox and looked after as in no hard launches or ragged all the time. For harder work Redline Shockproof or Motul is recommended. stick to 75W90 . Fully synthetic

Forgot to say it's got the r180 plated lSD diff with the DCCD wich I'm told MUST use lsd oil ???

Ah sorry yeah forgot about that. PM OILMAN on here ( Opie Oils ) he will be able to advise on one for a LSD diff and DCCD box. I dont have either on my V5 STI, so im not to sure witch to go for

Hi

The diff needs a SAE90 LSD oil, like the Fuchs Titan Race Gear 90LS, Castrol Axle Z or Motul 90PA.

depends on exact use also we tend to favour CRX LS 75w90 NT or CRX LS 75w140 NT

also carry various other options including Motul 90PA / gear 300 LS on the shelf...........

I use the first one Alyn quotes in my version 3 type r. No issues and it only ever gets driven hard. Bought from AS Performance.
