Removing 6 speed
I'm going to try and find time to remove my 6 speed this weekend to have synchros done, I had a quick look a couple of weeks ago but only got as far as taking the exhaust off, what I was wondering was is it possible to slide the female end of the drive shafts off the gearbox splines without loosing all of the wheel end? I suspect this would be far to easy and the answer will be no but no harm asking lol.
It s a 2003 blob non dccd obviously
Cheers

Assuming its identical to the Bugeye then yes you can
Myself and a friend did my clutch last week (Bug STi) and got the shafts out without having to move the wheels!! My car was resting on ramps so we removed the gearbox cradle and moved the rear of the box over to the left and removed the right shaft and the opposite way for the other side. Its tight but they do come off (be careful not to damage the dust guard on the inner CV joint )
If the car is on axle stands on full suspension droop there will be even more room to play with
Don't forget to have some help as the 6 speed box is very heavy
