Any Cosworth dealers on here who can do a good price on Cosworth Pads. I'm currently looking for a full set of Streetmaster pads for STI Brembos but later this year I'll also be after a set of Trackmaster pads as I get the car closer to being track ready

Best price I've had so far is just over £180 delivered for a full set of front and rears for STI Brembos

What discs are you running, and what exactly do you mean - poor cold performance, fading very quickly from over-temp etc? How long have you been running them and are they fully bedded in? Have you got up-rated fluid and lines and have you recently bled the brakes?

Sorry for all the questions but I currently have PF01s which are supposedly some of the best pads you can get to go with my PF Discs, but because they need heat to start working well they are not particularly good for daily driving in all weathers so I'm after a bit of a compromise for daily use

 

Look at the oe pagids, good and bargain price.

 

Cosworth dont make pads.............they simply brand anothers

personally for street use you wouldn't go wrong with the new(ish) Brembo Sport pads
the PF 01 is very good but designed for more track/spirited use

Couldn't agree more about the PF's Alyn especially some of the moments I've had in the rain when they have been nicely cooled - plus they are on their last legs anyway.

If heard good stuff about the Brembos elsewhere so they do seem a good option. Do you sell them and if so what sort of price am I looking at for a full set for 01 STI Brembos (Fr and Rr) delivered to North London

Another option that are getting good reviews from people actually using them are the new Orangestuff pads , work very well from cold , and will take just about any abuse you can throw at them , they are quiet in use , and good for low dust

very poor when you give them a beating mate i have lines and uprated fluid and godspeed discs just about to fit aston martin vanquish s ap calipers and 355mm db9 discs to the front to help me stop

 

TBH mate they'd probably never get a beating as these would be the pads fitted for daily use with others fitted for track-day/fun use. I've ordered a set of the new Brembo HP Sport now anyway

PF Z pads would be perfect for what you require IMO John.

There's not a lot left in the PF01's about 4mm left so in the bin once they're changed

 

Give us an update on these pads once you get them. I've heard good reviews about them and they are good for track use also

 

Will do mate, I've heard good things so far and price isn't too bad - cheaper than DS2500s

 

Ds2500 are rubbish for road use until warmed up, I've had a few pads like ebc blue, ds2500 etc and a mate has got the new orange and are rubbish when under abuse they fade and judder.
I'm now on carbon lorraine rc6 pads and they are awesome no matter what abuse you give them, work excellent from cold and don't fade, no bedding in process either. But only bad points are they squeak around town driving and are dusty. So was thinking of getting the basic brembo or pagid pads for town driving. Then use the rc6 for track and race days out.

 

I'm after a similar set-up. My PF01s are nearly done but need some heat to get working and squeek a lot around town so I want a set for my daily commute and a different set-up for track use

 

Can't go wrong with the rc6 pads, I would rate them very well apart from the bad points listed above. And they are cheap about £130. Don't need to stamp on pedal to get a reaction.
Did Cadwell on weekend and has got a few demanding corners with heavy breaking, worked same throughout, perfect. My tyres boiled and started to melt the treads a bit before my brakes after about 8 laps.
I'll defiantly be buying some more when the wear.
Just need to find something cheap for town driving like, mintex,pagid or brembo basic pads that will do the odd blast.

Brembo Sport pads arrived today, comparing the material the PF's aren't as worn as I thought so I still have some track pads, they just squeak too much for the road and the rears are too dusty. Just need to sort the erratic pedal feel if bleeding and fitting new pads don't do the job
