surely a uk spec import will be identical to a uk model [underseal etc.] only difference is price and only 1 year garantee if bought from somewhere like holland ora dutch import? and no alarm fitted

I'm sure this has been discussed before so bear with me.

Motorpoint is offering STi's for £20995. They say these are European imports.

Does this mean it will have the same spec as the Type Uk(non prodrive bodykit) i.e 265 bhp?

Only other differences mentioned by motorpoint were no alarm and additional 2 yr IM warranty.

Check whether they are from Cyprus. Cyprus is'nt part of the EEC and so are not eligable for the pan european warranty. There are a few other things missing but I can't remember off hand.

 

Main difference is the Alarm (cat 1) tracker, extra underseal and pink badges all provided by Subaru UK. There is some discussion as to what warranty comes with the Euro import, I have heard 1 year, 2 year and 3 years...

 

UK dealerships won't service \ maintain a non European EEC car either. i.e. sourced from Cyprus
