polish from halfrauds?

never polished my car before...but feel the need today so i'm gonna go buy some polish from the great big corporate thing halfaurds. Any reccomendations as i have'na a clue?
Im gonna back Mr Freeze up all the way on using the Meguiars its the business

thanks for the replies Gents...opted for Meguiars Gold Class Clear Coat Liquid Wax at £12.99. First time i've waxed a car since my mkI xr2 back in 1990, have to say its a lot easier these days and not only is my car now shiny bling it feels smooth to the touch too
