We might be a bit biased on here, but mark (Lateral Performance) posts on here as R19KET.

I am a cheap bast@rd and dont like to pay much for anything...

Lateral performace did however supply the following for my car...

Fuel Pump
Fuel Pressure Reg
Water Injection
Custom Hybrid Turbo
Pistons
Rods

Theres also some other bits which we are undecided on such as

heads
crank
bearings
studs

Eitherway..

Even if mark isnt going to help you build your engine (fool) then he will offer his advice, take it or leave it!

you will however regret it if you really do want 700bhp.

Whos building yours and what parts are you using from Lateral if you dont mind me asking???
Reason why i ask is that i can gather enough good info before i go for my rebuild. If you find it inappropriate to post on the board, mail me off-line as per profile.

Talking

Sonic,

speak to Mark - if you are serious I am sure you will find it very worthwhile. Mark has tremendous experience of many of the tuners who work is this community - some of it excellent, some of it painful.

He will share that experience with you - and if you deal with him as the architect of the solution he is an excellent resource who will also supply some of the very best there is in Subaru tuning - not big brand stuff - real stuff used on the fastest Subarus recorded on planet.

It is more likely that you will see real power cars emerging in the UK through Mark than any other source you can see at the moment.

Mark works with some of the best in this industry in the UK and he will tailor the solution to your needs - and work with you to bring the whole project together.

Mind you - his experience of tuners is not as painful as his test drivers *blush*

I believe the forum is actually being changed to the "Mark Aigin Experience", introduced by "MC David Wallis".

And yes, it is he.

<cough> discount </cough>

lol.

I took the opportunity to copy marks engine from beginning to end, the only bit I thought of all by myself was to go for a smaller turbo since mark obviously has some kind of small ***** to accomodate for. I wanted a td04 to prove I do not, but it would have spooled up to 1 bar at idle so I thought it not wise .

I have to say that without mark to explain and supply nearly everything, i would have been competely buttfcuked on pricing from everyone I had previously gone to, not to mention the conflicting advice that seemed to be coming from all around.

Problems do come along when you attempt builsd of this nature and are aiming for figures like his, which I doubt any of us will. when they did arrive he explained was what needed and sorted things out for me for which I am very greatful.

I count myself very lucky for having met the right people in the first place, otherwise this project would have been twice as costly.

in short please give generously to the mark aigin appreciation society. think of the helpless engines that are saved thanks to the hard work and dedication of this man.

I did nominate him for a piston of gold award, but it couldnt handle 2.75 bar.

I'll stick a vote in for him to

He's managed to liberate me from a percentage of my inheritance to make my car silly fast

As a testiment to him, my sights were a lot higher than i think he wanted to go so he reeled me in again & put it at a "more sensible" level if you can call it that. lol

On a more serious note, he is about the only person who hasnt tried to sell me something, he has informed me & let me get on with my own decisions (i.e. justifying spending the amount of money on my car to myself) & then when I change the goalposts, like sell the car & start with something else

Now......

About that throttle bodies conversion Mark

Chris
