Does anyone remember when Windows 2000 was released? Just want a rough estimate. I am trying to find an SDK for Windows NT4.0 from our MSDN mailings but it needs to be from before W2K was released. All the versions changed and Windows NT4.0 compatibility was dropped in favour of Window 2000.

I have looked all over the M$ site and found bugger all.

It's not actually for me it's for a colleague of mine.

The files he wants are:
filtdump.exe
filtreg.exe
ifilttst.exe

Send them to me at darlodge@aol.com and I'll pass them one.

They are required for a searching product that we created, but it falls over display results with NT4.0. These files should (hopefully) fix the problem.

The files that you E-mailed to me were the Windows 2000 version, apparently. In the properties of the files, it specified that they are for Windows 2000 and not Windows NT4.0.

We managed to find the CD with them on, on the net so I set it to download tonight when I left work.
