Wow another silly Apple thread.
A bloke recently left my work to follow a change in careers but he never got his own thread on Scoobynet, and we care about her career move because?

Burberry have managed to stay a premium brand whilst Chav's wear pale imitations. Android phones are a pale imitation of the iPhone used by Chavs. Good move Apple.

No really, I realise you may have only seen that globally recognisable pattern on your baseball cap, market stalls and dodgy pound shops but those are just copies of a luxury brand. Have a read here http://uk.burberry.com/heritage/
Once you're over the shock you might like to take a look at iOS, I know it's not free but sometimes you have to pay for quality.

I did find the announcement amusing, given that in the UK Burberry is now synonymous with chavs / low rent / scum / pikeys / etc, an image that is forever tarnished.
I cannot speak to the US, but certainly in Canada, Burberry is retaining the premium image it used to have in the UK, and I would also expect that it's still seen as such in China, which seems to be very fond of luxury goods, and Apple no doubt has it's eyes firmly on China as a market for it's products.

I think some of you lot need to see where Burberry was and where it's placed now, before you start to take the ****.
People slagging off a so called "chav" brand on a Subaru based motoring website is irony at its best!

I don't care how long Burberry as a brand has been around or how well "established" it is, their success is obvious. However I think you are missing the point, they produce **** products as far as I'm concerned, so for me it is not nor never will be a premium brand. Personal opinion of the products that's all.

Pretty Sure they are owned by Great Universal (the catalog company).

Imagine what kind of impact that may have on Apple. I'm sure Apple appreciate the context of the benefits they're hoping this recent placement will provide.

I'm referring to the absolute factual and positive impact that Angela Ahrendts has had on the Burberry brand, and ultimately the commercial success of that company.
