virgin media superhub
How do I set this up to run wifi? Upgraded today to 120mb and the guy called today plugged the modem in and plugged it into my old router which I always had issues with so my internet is hopeless and there is no disk for setting the new superhub up?
I was so pissed off they couldn't be bothered to setup the thing that I just downgraded after they dropped the modem off, back on 60mb.

As above, it should be pretty straight forward. Its plus point are a very simple menu system.
However be forewarned that the range on it is rubbish, so if you want anything much faster than wireless-G, you ain't going to get it. Wireless-N capable it maybe, but over a distance its hopeless. Even at my mate's place with his laptop with a wireless-N dongle and in line of sight to the superhub approx 15ft away he couldn't get it to go above 20Mbps throuhgput on a 150Mbps connection (it should be about 50Mpbs). No point having a 60megabit internet connection if the wifi can barely throughput half of that.
Peer through the vents and you'll see all the aerials are just a a few pieces of 1 inch long PCB glued to the casing.
PS Don't confuse the rated "connection" speed for actual real world data throughput.

Unplug you're old router first. Take a look at the front of the superhub and check that the wireless light is on (bottom light) if its off then simply hold the large virgin branded button on the side of the hub for approx. 6 seconds to turn wireless on. Once the light is on, do a wireless network search on your laptop/PC to find the network (it'll look something like this virginmedia374565, it'll match the SSID on the label on the side of the superhub) simply click connect and enter the passphrase (the passphrase is on the label on the side of the superhub) and you're good to go. If you want more info on advanced set up of the hub via 192.168.0.1 then drop me a PM mate.

No problem Steve. If you come unstuck tomorrow, drop me a pm and we'll sort out a time on Friday that I can ring you when I'm in work, so i can tech everything from our end, run some speed tests and fix any problems you have mate.
