Default Netbook Antivirus...

Hi techno geeks/geekesses!

I bought Trend Micro antivirus software when I bought my netbook a year ago, It has recently run out and they wanted £30 to renew. Someone told me just to download AVG free and it would do the same job. So I've done that but the netbook seems to be running slowly and Itunes keeps doing weird stuff.
The netbook seemed to run fine with the Trend software so I'm thinking of going back to it. My question is this- is Trend the one to go for or are there better brands out there (preferably that won't affect my netbooks speed).

Any help much appreciated, please bear in mind I'm a computer numpty so speak loud and slow so I can understand!

Cheers peeps!

Hi there

Not sure who recommended you AVG,AVG is worst AV(read Anti Virus) just due they using lots of resources(such as CPU or RAM),I would recommend you download Microsoft Security Essential with Microsoft Defender, pus I would have look on the Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Free

Hope this help and really uninstall this AVG,this AV is very hungry and not the best AV which I've tried

If you've got a legit copy of Windows then M$ Security Essentials is hard to beat
