Superfast Broadband question and Macbook.
Over the next year or so our area will have the new Superfast Broadband cable installed. At the moment we have a high speed broadband connection to the house. I use an old Macbook (5/6yrs old ?) works fine, OSX 10.11.4 which must be now at least three OS behind the times.
Speed is around 6.7 mbs during the day but this can tail off to under 3 mbs in the evening.
Has anyone any idea what difference a Superfast connection will make ? I assume it should hold the speed and be constant which will be good but will the old laptop be any quicker than the present 6.7 mbs on the Superfast cable ?
Cheers

10.4.11 is the last version of Tiger - and yes it is three behind; Leopard, Snow Leopard, and Lion, plus soon-to-be Mountain Lion
As for what difference the network connection would make, well, obviously content would be coming in more quickly, so things would load quicker. Then again, it might be too fast, as in, the content is coming quicker than the machine can process it, so things slow down.
