Default Tune Up for Itunes

Ok so if your like me, have 1000s of Mps from over the years, some with track names,Most not as there old Imported Cds i was sick of Itunes, and in all honesty ive never really liked it, if you want to drop Mass songs onto an iphone Ipod it messes them all up.

So i bit the bullet and started filing my songs into a Teds favs folder i purchased Itunes Match, so i could get them in the cloud, But still itines couldnt find track names cover arts all that ****e.

So i saw Gracenote, great feature of itunes but a bit tied to Itunes imported albums only, i then saw TuneUp its a service i paid 39dollers for Lifetime, and it bolts on the side of Itunes, and WOW, it analysed my Library, and off it went everything was perfect Covers track names, everything

i can honesty say go get it if your like me. Much better than tag and rename and all the other **** out there, This actually sampled used soundhound etc so rarely gets it wrong.

Anyway just thought id tell you as i was unaware of tuneup to be honest

ted

p.S

Off to listen to some Prefab Sprout from the 90s

Looks that way mate, even if you just have an Mp3 on your drive called "track1" it will sample it, figure out what it is and retag it correctly and download album art for it.
Bloody incredible if it works... which it better, as I have just bought it!

Its been working its magic for the last 2 hrs as I have almost 700 albums but yeah, it "looks" like it is doing the job. Its intelligently scanning and moving duplicates into another folder too, which will likely rid me of a couple of hundred from the album list where I have ended up with duplicates due to slight name anomalies etc.

Fingers crossed its as good as it looks and tomorrow I dont have a totally ****ed up music collection. LOL

Downside - It doesnt do FLAC, which is dissapointing for me.

To be fair, its pretty good mostly, however, I used its "de Dupe" feature and it has wiped out every track in any folder that already exists somewhere else.
