Default iMac now or wait?

I'd like a new desktop computer and can get a good deal on an iMac 21.5" 2.7ghz (through an employee purchase scheme) but there is a new one coming in a couple of months.

Anyone seen any rumours about them apart from better screen? I'm tempted to get one this afternoon ... make me stop

Steve

Personally, I'd wait. The screen alone will make it a million times better than the mirror fest that is the current iMac. Ivy might come if you're lucky, but its hit and miss atm. The iMac hasnt had a decent refresh for over 350 days, so its due any time.

If the deal is good enough though, get one, and sell it on when the new ones are released?

Probably too late now to offer advice I'd wait, if you can, for about a month. See what updates come out. MacBooks are meant to be getting a refresh and the iMac may also see one at the same time.

Well, I got one! I like the trackpad, dual-boot with Windows and VMWare Fusion and it behaves quite well.

So now have 12GB
