Hi fellas,
have the above and never had a problem, last night switched it on for a quick game with my lad and couldnt get a picture, tried changing the hdmi cable thinking it was this, nothing

Put the standard cable with the scart adapter into the telly and now it works, but picture is standard and not the high def, obviously, i'm usless with anything computer related, any ideas anyone please, is there a setting somewhere to change from standard to hdmi?

I have got a brand new hdmi cable purchased this morning, but can't get it to work

Go into system settings, and see if hdmi had been disabled.

Failing that....and dependant on which model console..

Is it the hdmi slot on the tv? I only ask as the hdmi slot on my old tv packed up, would hate for you to replace the Xbox to find its an issue with the tv instead

 

Generic hdmi leads dont like heat is it near or touching a radiator?

 

The tv has 5 hdmi slots, have swapped them all round, and every thing else works in a different position so cant be the tv, must be the xbox, but for it to be working fine, then all of a sudden not work?

Taking it back to game today as it's only 3 months old so they can have it back.
