Exchange 5.5 mail re-direction
#1
Chaps - I'm on a small site and I've got a netpilot router thingy connected to ADSL and MS exchange. Mail is working fine, but I want bounced emails to get forwarded to a particular user/mailbox.
So I want duffaddress@domain.co.uk to get forwarded to susan@domain.co.uk
The netpilot is just a relay and the returned message shows its hitting the exchange box.
There must be a setting in exchange somewhere to tell it what to do with undeliverable mail but can't find it.
Any pointers appreciated.
Cheers

FJ,
Under the Internet Mail Connector, you specify the Administrators mailbox. Next to that is a button marked Notifications. You can set which mailbox gets notified of various types of undelivered mail there.
In your scenario susan would be set as the Administrator. If you don't want that, then set it up as the usual Admin user and create a rule in that mailbox to forward undelivered e-mails to susan that way.
