Yes, go to Settings | General | Network and click on Set Up Internet Tethering.

Or if you have jailbroken your iPhone you can download MyWi and that allows you to tether without paying your provider: http://www.intelliborn.com/mywi.html

Yes you can do that but your warranty is void...

Your warranty isn't really void as you are not physically changing the device, just the software on it.

If it all goes horribly wrong then you can install the original (unmodified) firmware and if it has REALLY gone wrong, then Apple will just factory re-install the firmware and no-one will be any the wiser.

There are deals around for £7.50 on a dongle with 1gb data, I know you say you don't want a dongle but just thought i'd let you know there are some better deals than a bolt on.

yes just ordered 1gb dongle, as o2 wanted to take away my unlimited internet access and for the same price as my tarriff £35 p/m give me 500mb instead .
I asked them "thats a good deal then " lol ,anyway decided to go for the 1gb dongle at a 1 off payment of £9.99 and £10 p/m ,not £7.50 as said earlier ,seems the only way was to get the dongle anyway ,but its a rolling contract so if i want to cancel after 30 days notice i can .

thanks for all ya help cheers.
