I'll be getting my copy in an hour or so ..... Couldn't be bothered with the midnight Queues

 

I just picked my copy up with a load of booze from sainsburys

 

Been playing for the last couple hours, I did queue atmidnight.......................................n ever again, stood in the rain and freezing cold for an hour and 1/2.

Black ops, only played multiplayer so far, the lobbys look very different, and it feels slightly different to MW2.
It is a very good game however, same old problem with camping though

 

Forgot to add, Nuke town is a terrible map, too small and too closed in, all the others seem good so far though

I love Nuketown, but then I like Rust too

It's never a good sign though when you buy the game within hours of its release and when you put the disc in it needs an update ALREADY.

 

I've had to work today - gutted! Lol. Going to try and get someone to pick me up a copy for later.

 

That happened when I started playing at 1:30 this morning!!

 

What would you rate it out of 10 so far?

When I first started playing probably a 7.5 (probably because I queued for so long to get it and was pretty damn cold) but now i've got into it i'm loving it and probably a 9.

Not touched the campaign mode yet

 

Just got the Radio Controlled car kill streak, that is a sweet kill streak!!
Only 3 kills, unlocked at level 10

 

Looking forward to getting on it tonight.

I think I will carry on with my tradition of completing the one player campaign before venturing online with it though!

 

Well..... bought it this morning at 7:45am and switched on the 360 downstairs and set the projector up! The 360 downstairs has not been switched on for months and has been sat there since 8am flaming updating!! I don't want to spoil the experience by using the 360 upstairs on a 30" screen in the office, so I might be lucky and actually get to play it by teatime tomorrow! lol

I went to tescos at 7 am to pick mine up I paid £42.99 with 3 months xbox live, took the box to customer services "sorry sir we have run out of stock" So I got my money back and headed to asda.

I have not played multiplayer yet but the campaign seems good so far.

 

Sainsburys again as they are doing a new 160gig for £200. I nearly bought one for my daughter

 

Quick Review:

Haven't played WaW myself, but apparently this is very similar in feel.

Coming from MW2 it does feel slower which from early indications does encourage camping rather than running and gunning

Menu's are a bit complicated and you can't see all of your own stats until lvl 13.

Leaderboards are broken down by Game Type so k/D means nothing in objective games

Sound is a bit iffy - You can hardly hear other guns or killstreaks so people with headsets may struggle compared to MW2

No Commando or Quickscoping are certainly bits I won't miss

Quite like the COD Points aspect, Guns still unlock at various levels but you can choose to buy them or any attachments that go with them

Everything is bought with CP (Guns, Attachments, Perks & Killstreaks)
These can be earned in normal games, wagered against other players in specific games (Wager Matches) or bet against contracts (Win 2 TDM or Kill 20 people in 40 minutes etc)

Think there is a mode where you can test out the guns / attachments but not sure yet (don't want to spend money unless I know I'll use the gun etc)

H/C doesn't unlock until lvl 16/18 apparently

Haven't played SP or Zombies yet - Will have a look tonight

 

I went to a local retail park near me just before midnight with the option of getting it from Game, HMV, Asda or Sainsburys. The queue for Game was ridiculous! must of been 300+ people waiting to part with their 45quid.

I joined the queue at Sainsburys, with time spent queued up and actaully paying must of took only 20mins...Throw in the fact it was only £37 a pop....result!

My boys woke up this morning to their own copy's, there will be some COD battles in our house when they get home from school today.

Got my copy from Game today. Managed a wee blast while my daughter was having her nap!
New COD...I'm still pi$h!
Jumped straight onto multiplayer. Wasn't sure at first but really enjoying it now I can navigate round the choices and the new stuff.
Still haven't got my Paypal refund from Woolies.
I was quite amused to get an e-mail from Woolies asking me to do a satisfaction survey after recently using their website!!

 

Just looked on line they are £250, or is it £200 with the game or something?

 

Got from Morrisons this morning (no queues) and played for a couple of hours. Strangely feels like COD4. Really enjoying it. Morrisons price is £29.99 when bought with another chart game - They had Kane & Lynch 2 limited edition for £19.99 in the chart, decided against that offer though!

 

Single player good fun, need to tweak the gfx for higher fps though!

Multiplayer - managed to get on 1 game so far after trying about 20, that was Treyarch's Official Server in the UK with a ping of 40 and it lagged to **** everyone was complaining. This is PC.

 

i done just over 3 hours on it after midnight, up to level 16 and am really enjoying it. need to get home from work and get some more time on it.

 

Level 16 after 3 hrs!!! Man, I am bad at it!!

started off with an average k/d ratio of 2.4, its dropped just under 2 at the minute and am getting 244 points a minute, already have about 1700 kills lol.

 

I got to lvl 10 after an hour - First few levels fly by

Your K/D might be correct, but the 1700 kills isn't

If you go into Combat Profile it will give you the 'correct' Kills & Deaths plus loads of other cool stuff like:

Time played
Guns Used
K/D with each Gun
Where you've died on maps
Hit Markers on Enemies (Where you've hit them)
Killstreaks earned

Annoyingly, this doesn't unlock until lvl 13

 

Buggy as hell on the xbox

Also, the current stats along the bottom of the page show something like 618 players are prestige already. It was showing this when I started playing at 8am this morning, how the hell can that happen?

MW2 is still the benchmark for me.
