I was shown how to do this ages ago, but have completely forgotten.

Is it commands in nslookup?

At work we use the UNIX shell command dig. But try this Demon DNS Record Check site http://www.demon.net/external/

$ nslookup -query=mx scoobynet.co.uk
Server: dns-server
Address: 172.0.0.1

scoobynet.co.uk preference = 10, mail exchanger = smtp.esoftsolutions.co.uk
scoobynet.co.uk preference = 20, mail exchanger = relay-1.mail.griffin.net.uk
relay-1.mail.griffin.net.uk internet address = 195.166.79.195
