I know someone here has done I think it's chefdude.

Is there a specific list of components. I.e motherboard, CPU, graphics card.

So basically all I have to do is install the retail osx disc? And no messing around with dvd's like iatkos

I have on my Asus P6T,CPU i7 920,GPU(my recommendation its Nvidia due kext(drivers)are available on every site),but i have few friend which use Pentium4,and few have AMD X2.

it's good fun having a hackintosh, but it's not the same as a real mac - having to switch off auto update on the os and all apps, cloning drives before any updates, etc.

i'll be getting a 27" i7 iMac soon enough - evaluation period over

Well I scrapped my plan and just bought MacBook pro instead. The 27" iMac is on my wishlist
