Epson C48 replacement printer
The household Epson C48 printer has started squeaking and playing up
A trusty workhorse for years churning out letters to the bank and the kids homework but I think is getting to the end of it's sell by date.
Any suggestions for a simple / robust inkjet printer which has crisp text and diagrams / graphs for the kids homework and the odd picture.
Thanks
Shaun

Can you not strip it down and tidy it up? i have done this a few times with my trusty C44 that is still going strong!
My c44 must be about 15 years old now and still gets used every single day.

I just bought a Kodak printer...inks only £15.99 for both colour and black and i'm quite impressed with it. I had an Epson before and it was costing over £50 for cartridges.

For what you use it for, might you be better off with a laser?
When my Epson Stylus Photo 870 clogged up last time I decided enough was enough and ditched it for a laser printer - and wished I'd done it years ago. For letters, receipts, maps and stuff it's great - no clogging and the job is usually waiting for me by the time I've put down my laptop and walked upstairs. For the odd photo or two I'll get them mail ordered and wait a day.
