Default Essential apps for your iphone or Android phone?

There must be quite a lot of people on here now with either an android phone or iphone, I am keen to know what other apps people are using that they really cant live with out now?

On my G1 android I use all of the following daily:

acurrency - keeps track of currency rates

tunewiki - music player

shop savvy - scan and read barcodes to check online prices why you are out shopping

gmail: links directly to my main gmail apps account (push email)

K9 Email : links directly to my other 6 gmail apps accounts all on push email

nubinews: text reader for nearly all news sites very quick

chompsms : cheap international texts

Tvguide

google places directory: find local places such as food, hotels etc complete with reviews very useful!

anything i am missing?

Just installed this

Layar
Android Market

Impressed!
Searching for local twitter users, it has just informed me that my cousin was 435 meters away from my home the last time he tweeted

And that the baldy bloke on the top floor has twittered about going bowling
