Adobe photoshop question

Ok.....I've cut and pasted part of one photo onto another photo,but now realise the sizes don't match.(ie a head onto another body).How do you alter the size of the head to match the body.If you use Z (zoom) then both pics alter in size.I want to isolate one layer and just alter that.
How do you do it.

Select the layer you want to scale and then go to the Edit menu and chose Free Transform or Scale that will scale the whole layer or select a portion of the layer and scale that instead. A quick tip if you lower the opacity of the top layer you will see through to the background layer.

finaly got the no. i needed from my brother of all people remembersd i got cd [genuine incidently for all you suspicious people out there] with my canon scanner and that he bought one also so im ok but gust to say thanks to those who genuinely tried to help. hope this letter is acceptable
