Is there a way to view other peoples dairy in Outlook. My boss wants to see everybody’s diary in Outlook to arrange meetings and see what the staff are up to. All the computers are networked running Windows 2000. We are also running Small Business Server 2000.
If not in outlook what about another program such as ACT.

Cheers

SBS 2000 includes Exchange 2000.

Two ways...

Create a Company Calender in the Share Folders area in Outlook. This means only once place to check to see what somebody is doing

Or if you right click the Calender icon in somebodies mailbox, you can give the boss permission to see inside the users Calender. The boss then opens their mailbox via Tools > Services > Exchange Server > Advanced > Open these additional mailboxes and they appear in his Outlook folder Tree.

If you are running SBS then I take it that you have less that 50 users. If you are admin then you have rights to everones mailbox & you can map there profile on your pc & then share the calender out to fred.bloggs who is your MD(right click on said folder & add MD as user) then go the MD's pc & add in other users folder option
voila...all users calenders will be shown in MD mail profile...a bit lengthy & I'm sure there is probably a better way of doing it

otherwise public folder option, creat a new folder called "users calender's" through your outlook client, allocate relevant permissions through exchange admin, they can then update this public calender & share out to whoever

Cool

We do this but run Exch 5.5

Probably don't do it correctly either, but make a folder in public folders that is a calendar item, called Shared Calendar.

Everyone has this on their menu bar (add short-cut) & puts all company-wide info & meetings on that.

Scheduler doesn't work & reminders also, but you can invite/accept/decline.

Not accessable via OWA
