Default Firefox not connecting to the WEB

I upgraded my firefox to V3 (I think) and now it won't connect to the internet

its not the phyisical connection coz i.e7 works and I can ping internet addresses and IP's

it not a proxy problem coz its set for direct connection

It will open html pages stored locally

It wont even open my local router address management page (192.168.2.1)

so it looks like its just not seeing the IP stack

if tried uninstalling it reinstalling it -- new user profiles

not getting very farc -- anyone?

ah OK an application firewall

mm I will check

but it did work prior to the update

I think it might be a problem with it accessing the IP stack

Cool, good to sort it and at least you know it's working!!

I've got mine to prompt on everything and it annoys my mrs but I'd rather have that than less stringent restrictions.
