Anyone recommend one? Know of any special offers?
Need one that will be good enough to print photos if possible.
Am I asking too much?
Thanks

Well Ian, about £70! If that is possible, I dunno? Saw a Canon printer and scanner package (separate units) at PC World yesterday which was £140. Don't know whether I want to spend that much, even though I would like a scanner as well.
There was an Epson printer for £69.99. Should I go for that?
Can you get them cheaper???

Initial cost of the printer can be a minor consideration
You also need to look at the cost and type of consumables. For example does it have separate colour cartridges or a single multi-colour cartridge, there is nothing more annoying than having to replace a multi-colour cartridge because one of the colours has run out. Photo printing can be very heavy on consumable use and it's very easy to find you have spent more than the cost of the printer on ink and good quality paper in a very short time.

I've had both Epson and HP printers and there isn't really much to chose between them - they're both great printers! One thing I noticed with the Epson, though, is that the cartriges are half the size of HP's so they need changing twice as often.
Good suppliers of printers are Dabs www.dabs.com, Simply www.simply.co.uk and Novatech www.novatech.co.uk and they can offer you major savings over PC World.
My advice would be to go into PC World and get them to do some sample printouts to show off the printers and then you can decide which one you like best. Once you're done, make a note of the model and buy it online...
You might want to look at Apollo printers as well which are unbadged HP printers at a fraction of the cost of badged ones...

Yeah, I know what you mean. I sold my webcam a few months back, and now I have just purchased a new one!!! ADSL will be great for video transmission.....
If your looking for a 'cheap' printer, have a look at the Appollo printers, they are basically older HP models underneath. i saw one for sale a week or so ago (2 cartridge model) for £29.99 + VAT!
At that price you dont mind if it breaks after a year!

Ian, do you have website details of them please.
Fig, £100 is a bit steep, even though it is a good printer. Don't really want to pay that much really......

Thanks Ian, will def be looking at it - just have to see what Fig is going to sell me that one for first as it's a better one. If he doesn't come round to my way of thinking, I'll probably buy that one!
Cheers!
