Last Xmas I got the dreaded RROD so did the xclamp mod which has worked with no issue up until yesterday. Ive now got the RROD again!

Any ideas what it may be so I can rip the bloody thing apart to get it working again or send it off somewhere. All Im expecting for Xmas is Xbox games. Great!

Any help on this is appreciated.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but have you used this guy to fix a console? Just as my out of warranty X-Box has now knacked with a freezing graphics on start up. closest one to me wants £45 to fix it.

You can but a brand new one for under £130 with a full warranty. The newer units do seem more reliable with radicially different chipsets to the early units, I;ve had 10 fail in 2 years on lasted a whole 13 days.

Latesat Xbox Arcade seems to be the best I've had so far, seems to run much cooler and is much quieter than even my Elite.

Don't forget MS extended the warranty to 3 years on most units due to all the problems.
