Are they good for online slaughter?

 

I get slaughtered in either version online....

Both very good games, really depends if you prefer old skool or modern weapons.. IMO you should play/own both

 

On the 360 COD5 looks more detailed and runs smoother. There are a few nicer touches too. I like them both though and i'm also crap online with either too

 

cod4 is way better than world of war online but they are both easily the best online shooters available

So at the end of the day; buy both and get CoD 5 too?

 

I play them both alot. The game play is the same, as above it depends if you like old school or modern. I find cod 4 more fun. The weapons are better and i think the courses are better. But on cod 5 if you play Team Death Match the courses are different to when you play Free For All which is good.

So just get both

 

Cod4 if you have to get one, if you can afford both - ideal!

 

world at war kicks cod 4 ar$e on sp.as for mp they are the same, maps are full of campers played by little kids with language that would put chubby brown to shame apart from that still fun but only just.

My mate plays online, not COD, but something similar, and his specialty is winding up Yank teenage thugs by taking them out with near impossible headshots from long range, drives em nuts, they get SO wound up, the language is unbelievable. You'd think he'd messed with their kid sister or something they way they go on. They actually gang up on him and do suicide mass attacks just to get him

i try and play the new one with bolt action guns only,as i missed that from the last cod game.but its just impossible to play the kids just run around with there smg which imo are way to powerfull and accurate from distance.and then theres the juggernoobs AAARRRRRRR dont get me started on them tw@ts

 

I love COD5 online, but I'm too old! Watching some of the killcams after I get killed (which is a lot!), it's unbelievable the reactions and accuracy of some of these kids with joypads!

Still good fun though I can hold my own in the close quarter maps like Downfall and Asylum with the shotgun

Well i give up with this utter pile of 5hite the MP is doing my head in,i get so frustrated with the way some play the game that i fear for my 360 going out the window so now i have 1000/1000 gs im going back to cod4 with the hope that the ar5eholes that were on their are now on waw.

tried the multiplayer beta for WOW and just figured it was cod4 in drag

 

World of Warcraft

 

I like the old-school weapons a bit better than the modern ones. It's really tough to decide, because both are great games. In CoD World at War you can unlock a Zombie mode, once played through. Both games are pretty short, but I liked the single player game in World at War better. Banzaiiiii !!

 

theres zombie mode in cod 4 - theres loads of mods for cod 4 some levels are great like the rock server - programmers need to take note and put these levels in the actual game

that zombie mode is crazy with tons of gore in cod 4

 

both are good but at the minute i think world at war is edging in front
i like the way you can be revived if you have last stand although its kind of hard to get revived if your in the thick of it .
tanks are also good fun but abit easy to get a kill streak of 15+

 

yea but real gamers play on the 360

and i don`t think you can mod it for zombie mode

 

I've been getting a bit frustrated with CoD5. i just can't get on with any of the crap weapons.

I have just unlocked the SG-44 (?) assault rifle thing (Lv 37) so hopefully I will find it a bit better now.

I was playing last night and some bloke had a flame thrower and you just couldn't get any where near him without him torching you and i haven't got high enough to unlock the fireproof perk! The joypad almost went across the room with that one!

 

i havent played cod4 but i cant get off cod5 online so i mite buy the older one for christmas! whats your screen names for the ps3 and ill keep an eye out?

 

COD4 all the way, I am going thru the story in COD WAW... much more brutal, COD4 story has more.... finesse?

Online, COD4 all the way, much more fun with the newage weapons.

If you can, buy both, if not, then COD4 will do ya.

BOTH games imo are quality, since buying cod5 i havent played cod4 at all. Cod5 is awesome havent prestiged yet but I am good

I enjoyed playing CoD4 on the 360 but weren't really into the weapons that much as Im more into WWII. But both are really good games and both are amazing for online slaughtering if you are good enough

I own both on 360 but only tend to play CoD5 now as its the newest and Im trying to keep up with the high ranks to stop me getting my *** handed to me.

 

I only played the beta on the Xbox but found Cod 4 to be far superior.
Hopefully the final game had a lot of changes and it got better because there was a lot wrong with it.
