Default filemaker - Anyone got any experience

Hi All,

Been asked to help a company out who have a system on macs built using filemaker. They want some modifications done to it but not sure whats involved in using the software.

Anyone got any experience or know what might be needed.

I'm a j2ee specialist so don't think it should be too challenging

Cheers

Filemaker is the primary database for the Mac, and has been for many many years. I used to use it a fair bit as our software creates print, access, usage, and software and hardware logs, and we used to import the data files into Filemaker to allow for record management.

I'm not saying I'd be of much use, guess it depends on what they want/need changed. If it's adding/moving fields or redesigning the thing, should be pretty easy, it's all GUI based.

I think there is a pretty good Filemaker community out there, certainly try googling and it'll turn up stuff, so you can always ask them for advice too.
