the above dns tend to be quicker and will allow you to access the web whereas the be problem is affecting various websites coming up with page cannot be displayed etc etc.
I changed my dns last night and it is now running sweet again and a heck of a lot quicker

moved over to OpenDNS when the last lot of DNS problems happened.
Never moved back and never experianced the same issues
Its free and reliable and configurable ... so all pros and no cons really for me.

That's why I moved, my ISP seemed to be having issues, which they denied of course. I remembered reading something somewhere about OpenDNS so I gave it a try, and as DemonDave said, I've not gone back. A good Googleing didn't seem to find any major adverse comments.
