decided to upgrade my sd card on the tomtom and bought a 4gb SD card it says SDHC on it, which is absolutely the same shape as my tomtom's card but when i put it in, i cant do anything with ? Is it because its a different format ?

yep, unless your tomtom supports sdhc, you won't be able to use it. If it does, it may need formatting

it depends on the software version that your One is running...

TomTom made a few changes to the system software / firmware earlier this year to allow virtually all models (old and new) to use SDHC cards. If I were you I'd use TomTom Home on your PC to upgrade your One to the latest TomTom software version and try again.... it should work.

I've got a 4GB card in my GO500 which works fine...

Just incase someone else finds themselves with a desire to update their SD card on tom tome ONE = dont buy SDHC cards, tomtom one doesnt support them even with the latest firmware.

2 gig SD cards is the biggest it can support
