Was just going to say that a lot of the Advent laptops can be very good ones, as a lot/all of them are rebadged models.
I had a Advent L8400B, which I knew was an Asus 8400B before I bought it, which absolutely stonked along and was way ahead for it's time. Hi-Grade also sold them and got tons of awards back then.

Advent may have made some pretty dodgy pc's in their time, but the laptops that I have come across are pretty good!

Don't let the name put you off guys....

It's the 8475DVD model. It may be rebadged as Advent but you are correct in saying it is Asus made which is a very good make !!
