Cheapo Xbox360 and Wii at Sainsbury's ltd offer
MCV reports that Sainsbury's is set to offer substantial price reductions for the Xbox 360 and Wii video game consoles from tomorrow. According to the publication's sources the Xbox 360 Arcade will go on sale at £99.97 - a £30 price cut - while the 60GB model will be available for £139.97.
It's not just the Xbox 360 which will be going cheap, with MCV sources stating the Wii will be available for only £149.97.
The price cuts won't be permanent though, with MCV noting that Sainsbury's will run the promotion between October 3 and October 12.

I just picked up the last Wii at Sainsburys in Ashton under lyne.
I got lucky too! The last one had been opened and used for a one day wii promotion, it was complete but there was a few marks on the console itself that didn't really bother me but it opened the flood gates for a little discount
The manager offered me 10% off £149.97 which i declined, anyway in the end i walked with the Wii under my arm for £127.50 !!

I was unlucky, Mrs collected the console one from our local branch which I reserved via the phone.
Got home only to find out its not a 60gb version but a used 20gb.
Ended up getting a refund and getting a price match from comet instead.
At least this one has the hdmi port connection and not the av connection Sainsbury offered me in exchange.
