Default OSX users - ARD2.2 uninstaller.......

Just a quickie really.

Is there an uninstaller for the whole of ARD2.2?

mine's become corrupted and whilst it will reinstall, it won't run.

Are there any uninstaller scripts out there?

Thanks for that Markus - I'd found that one before.
However, the here's what actually happens -

Double-click on app
starts to load up
Get the Mac "wheel of fortune"
Then have a look at this picture -

Then the app bounces in the dock
click in the bouncing icon, the first page of ARD loads up
Then it quits.

Something's not right, me thinks!!

Fire up console, view System.log and Console.log, click the "clear" button, then launch ARD Admin and look and see what, if anything, is written to the console and system logs. Clearing them before launching just makes it easier to see if stuff is being written.

Looking at the picture, I can only see console.log being visible there, did you also open up system.log too? It's not unusual for nothing to be recorded to the console.log, but system log should have something written to it. Click the "logs" button in the toolbar and open up the various options it shows, see if there is an ARD log in there.

Not sure if this has anything of interest on it.

I get a 404 when I try and view that link. It's a crash log, so something in there is crashing. What OS X version is the machine running? I recall some thing about ARD 2.2 having problems on machines whose ARD client software is version 3. It may be that you need to use ARD 3 instead of 2.2

Hi Markus,

It's 10.4.11

hmmm. I can send it you via MSN if you want to look at it.
I did try to install ARD3, but that resulted in the same outcome!

I've terminalled the removal process, so it might be worth my trying to reinstall ARD 3.2 - can't hurt!
