I havent bought this yet as undecided whether to get it for PS3 or 360 but ive heard reports that some 360's arent playing the game too well.

Apparantely, some owners with the BENQ drive are having issues.



Some people are saying its PAL only versions, some people are saying it the latest dashboard upgrade causing problems. Others saying its the x12 speed and that if you flash your drive to x4 speed, that solves it.

Just wondered if anyone else has heard or can confirm this?

 

Think I've got 1 Hitachi & 1 BenQ so I'll see if there's any difference later tonight...

the BenQ drives are the supposed quieter drives from the Falcon units... your launch day machine should be ok - but I think that staement might have just put the hex on it!!

They're reporting an issue on the PS3 as well to be honest, although I've tried that version and mine's been fine.

No doubt Rockstar will produce a "fix" that will be in the form of a downloadable update one day when you start the game.

 

Depends how widespread these problems are, remember this game is probably outselling any other game by a fair margin so it's only right the number of failures will be in proportion to sales

 

I have 2 elites both with BenQ drives working fine.

 

Mmmm, mine won't save games (see other thread). I'm using a month old Xbox with a BenQ drive - wonder if that has anything to do with it?

 

My console was knackered - just been to Argos and got a refund (surprisingly) and bought a 360 Elite instead. All works fine now

 

Nope. Currently the PS3 is having widespread issues.
