Question

Hi.

I am trying to record an MP3 from the line in to my sound card. (Source is Hi Fi Amp). I can hear the source through my PC speakers, so the soundcard must be recieving the music.

But when I hit record in the software it records nothing. (Line in is selected as the source).

Ive tried this using sound recorder too, same result. Why is it not working?

Ive had this working on my PC before, but cant get it working sice rebuild

Help?

If you double click the Volume icon in the System Tray, check Line-in isn't muted.

In the play control dialog (dbl click the volume icon) select Options->Properties then select Recording and make sure that Line-In is the selected source.

Brilliant. Thats it thanx. Should have seen it myself, but asuumed those checkboxes were mute like for playback, so had none selected! D'uh

Lastly, my settings allow for Wave Table Polyphony to be between 32 and 512. Which is best?

Thanks again
