Default Office 2007 or 2008?

Hi,
I have just bought a Vista laptop and need an office program. It comes witha trial of 2007 but i see office 2008 is out. Is there much difference between the two?

Office 2008 is for Mac.

Same product, its just that the Mac version came out a bit later than the PC version.

Err thats not right at all the Mac version is out before the windows one and its been that way since the late nineties.

If MS makes a ***** up the impact is smaller the if they bugger up the Wintel version.

Office 2088 had over 100 faults/bugs according to sources so not their finest hour.

Well i've got the latest version of Office for my Vista laptop and it's definately 2007!
Takes some getting used to if you're familiar with Office 2003, especially as they've used the most ridiculous menu system know to man.
Change for changes sake i'd say but it is very easy on the eye

Its is, Office 2007 and Office 2008 are the same.. on the 2008 is for the MAC !

I've been running Open-Office on my Vista driven laptop. I reckon it's a great office suite for the price of a free download.
