Exchange & Blackberries
Can Exchange 'push' to Blackberries or is the push technology only for Smartphones etc
Customer doesnt want a BES server, but wants to use Push on Exchange 2003 (it is SP2 so does have push)

yes it can I believe, but the difference between the two is the fact that once received on the handset, a copy is not left on the server.
Obviously full BES servers are around £4000, which is why a lot of people just use the lesser functions of it and sync desktop when back in the office

I know they arent cheap, and for half a dozen users they cannot justify the cost of a BES Server
I have setup a few BES servers in my time, but never setup Blackberries direct with Exchange
Not having a copy left on the server might be a problem though, as this is a firm of Solicitors

Yes that is an option David
Im going to look into it in a bit more detail with the customer tomorrow, and go through all his options, tbh he is actually annoyed that all the partners heard Exchange was going in, and decided to go out and buy Blackberry's without telling anyone till they had them

Yeah BES is the preferred option, but I know they will never stump up the money for a BES server
They wouldnt even stump up the extra to go Exchange 2007
