I tried to do a file transfer from phone to computer, the transfer completes but when i go to play the video i transfered it comes up with the web search option.

Any advice pls

 

It sounds as though you don't have a program on your PC that can read that type of video file. It's probably an MP4 or 3GP.
Go to this site and download and install the VLC Media player :

VideoLAN - Free Software and Open Source video streaming solution for every OS!

Double the click the video file you copied from your phone. You'll be prompted to either 'Use the web service to find the appropriate program' or 'Select the program from a list'. Check the select from list option, and then in the list of programs scroll down and look for VLC Media Player & highlight it. Check the box that says 'Always use the selected program to open this type of file'.
The file should play ok now.

 

i already have VCL Media Play but i dont think it gives me an option to use it to play the file.
The files are in 3GP.

 

you need quicktime to play 3GP files, easy download from their site

 

Right click on the file and select the 'Open With' option ; then choose VLC Media Player from the list.
Don't install Quicktime, it will try and make itself the default player for everything, it's a total pain in the ****.
