Is it worth building a new base unit?
Looking to replace our Dell desktop, it's approaching 5 yrs old and I'd rather replace before we lose some of the stuff on the HD (yes I do backup but experience tells me that something important will be lost regardless...)
So, is it good value building a new base unit or should I just plump for summit off the shelf. Doesn't have to be ultra high spec'd just Internet, email, photos and the odd game - flight sim being most taxing.
Ebuyer have this case on offer just now - looks like a good starting point.
Coolermaster Elite 330 Black Case With CM eXtreme Power 460W PSU *SPECIAL OFFER* £42.99! - HotUKDeals Forum
Or off the shelf..
HP DX2250 Athlon 64 x 2 5000+ 2.6GHz £233.83 - HotUKDeals Forum
Quite happy in the guts of the PC so building would be a good experience - but id it good value?
Anyone care to offer advice?
